I originally bought this shoe elsewhere, and on the surface, this is a REALLY COOL SHOE! It's pure eye-candy IMO (I have the Black/Orange ones). But the problems I have are:
-> Not breathable enough: These shoes do breathe somewhat, and because of how light they are, you would expect them to breathe a lot more. That's not the case. My feet get pretty hot in these shoes and most foot moisture retains inside the shoe. At least now I can wear these shoes in snow since they don't seep in outside moisture like my old Adidas' did.
-> (Almost) Blister formations: Since these shoes don't breathe very well, The moisture accumulated on the sole of the foot almost causes me to form a blister on my forefoot (although it never quite reaches to "blister" status). It's more of an annoyance than pain, and it could be because of the insoles i'm wearing, not necessarily the shoe itself. To each his/her own.
-> Runs narrow: I had to upgrade to a size 11 (I normally wear a 10) to get the width right for my foot, as my feet are very wide and don't fit into most running shoes comfortably. These shoes didn't really need breaking in time, since these are mesh (and mesh stretches out easily.
-> Pricey: Since i'm not a fan of traditional "overly cushioned" running shoes, I wanted something extremely light and awesome-looking, like these. Were they worth the $90? This time around, yes. But I wouldn't spend another $90 on these again.
These are my first pair of New Balances i've ever owned and I have to say that i'm impressed (for the most part). I may buy from this brand again in the future, as Nike and Adidas are making really narrow shoes these days.

I run 15-18 miles a week and have had these shoes 9 weeks and they have held up well for a light weight shoe with a "minimus" construction. I recently wore these shoes on a 12 mile run with no problems. If you are a runner and looking for a minimal shoe, I recommend these shoes. I have no complaints. I just ordered my second pair!

Extremely light and incredibly comfortable. One drawback, they do fit small so order half size larger than usual. Thank you.
