From the Manufacturer
In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

By Robert I. Hedges
I have loved my pair of ASICS GEL-Noosa Tri 6 running shoes, and have now augmented my athletic shoe lineup with these slightly more subdued Tri 7's. These shoes are light, comfortable, and extremely durable. They provide good stability and are well suited to distance running. The fit is generally excellent, and I have had no issues with hot spots. There are two minor caveats I must give about this shoe, however. The GEL-Noosa Tri 7 (and the Tri 6 before it) runs small. The consensus opinion seems to be to order one half size larger than normal, but I found that I needed a whole size larger to be truly comfortable. The second issue is that the tongue is tacked to the outboard side of the shoe: this is a matter of personal preference, and while it is great for donning and doffing them quickly, you will likely find that if your feet are even a touch wide the tongue doesn't center up on your foot. On both my Tri 6's and Tri 7's I cut the tongues loose, and they are now perfect for me.
While I like the color scheme better on the more dazzling Tri 6's, nobody can accuse the Tri 7's of being subtle: the only color available for men is "Pop Yellow/Tropic Green/Noosa Glow," though that description hardly does them justice. What is interesting and amusing about the Tri 7's is the glow in the dark "Noosa" legend on the heel and toe. While ASICS advertises this as a safety feature (and it certainly doesn't hurt for low-light running) I'm convinced it's there more to be cool. And cool they are. The mesh upper is extremely comfortable and breathes wonderfully, while the appearance can be a tad startling and even conversation-provoking.
If you remember to order a larger size than normal (try them on in a store if you can) these will be a comfortable, light, and visually stunning pair of shoes that will last for a long time. I love mine.

I've used to race triathlon.
For me it's similar feeling to the Asics Kayano but lighter.
I'm overpronator and have no problems with them

By sunray
While I have been running for over 10 years, I only started triathlons 2 years ago and it quickly became obvious that the cycle to run transition zone is where time can be lost. I dismount from the bike and leave my shoes on the pedals so it is important that the running shoe used is quick to fit and comfortable/no rubs without socks. After trying various alternatives I heard about the ASICS Noosa Tri. I have now run three triathlons with these shoes fitted with the elastic laces supplied. The tongue being sewn in faciliates a rapid "shoe on" and when running the shoe without socks is supportive, comfortable and to date I haven't experienced any feet raw spots or blisters. Maybe the professionals use something else but for me they are a perfect accessory; now all I have to do is swim, cycle and run faster!
